Posted by Maskil Labels: Altneuland, BloggingScheduled Post Publishing is something I have looked forward to from day 1 on Blogger. I’ve just tried out a test posting on my main blog (Altneuland) and it works as advertised.
Just one problem, though: It’s not sending out the e-mail version of the blog posting to the “BlogSend Address” (A comma separated list of up to 10 email addresses to have your blog mailed to whenever you publish) on file when the scheduled date/time comes around and the item is published.
This is a test posting in order to see whether posting by means of an HTML e-mail message will preserve the original HTML formatting. Although Blogger allows one to post drafts and publish future-dated items, it does not allow one to post the draft and release/publish it automatically at the specified date/time. This is a feature, not a bug…

OK, so it worked here on Test; why not on Live?
The difference was, I created this post using the Blogger editor, whereas for the Live post I used WLW. Let's try pasting the code in using the Blogger editor...
As a longstanding subscriber to the JCPA Daily Alert newsletter, I was interested to see that a Daily Alert news ticker is now available for inclusion on your website/blog. I have now added the Vertical News Ticker to this blog, prior to adding it to Altneuland. I actually wanted the Horizontal News Ticker, to appear at the bottom of the page, but it doesn’t display any results. I’ll see if I can find a manned e-mail address at the JCPA to investigate. They have the horizontal ticker on their own home page, and no results there either!
If you’re expecting to see general Israeli/Jewish news, that’s not what the Daily Alert is all about; it concentrates on issues relating to Israel’s security and survival. (I sometimes can’t believe that, 60 years down the line, we still need to be concerned about her very survival…) As security is intended to be one of my focuses, I thought the Daily Alert news ticker might be more appropriate than say, the JPOST news ticker.
